The map above is just a rough overview to give you an idea of the route.
The British Pilgrimage Trust offers a downloadable gpx map of the Via Francigena from Canterbury to Dover. It plans to add a route called the Francigena Britannica from London to Canterbury to it. Currently, the link below only gives you the route from Canterbury to Dover, but that may change. As the Francigena Britannica is very similar to the routes I suggest from Southwark to Canterbury, I have not included it in the Kent Pilgrim Routes book
How to get downloadable maps from the British Pilgrimage Trust
Set up an account – basic accounts are free
Go to this page:
https://www.britishpilgrimage.org/portfolio/the-via-francigena-in-england
Click on ‘Download route file’ Fill in the details requested and then click on ‘Send the gpx file to my email’
I suggest you open the email on your phone.
You will need ot have a gpx reader set up in order to open the gpx file.
I use the OS (Ordnance Survey) app, but others are available
When you are asked which application to use to open the file, scroll down the list until you get to the OS app, or an alternative you have downloaded. Select it and then click on ‘Import’
The map will now open in that application.

You can buy their guidebook here:

Currently they do not offer a downloadable gpx file of their route, but I created the map above, using their directions from their guide.
