This area of the website is designed to supplement the Norfolk’s Pilgrim Routes book, published by Amberley
To find downloadable maps of each of the routes described in the book, either go to the drop-down menu under ‘Norfolk Pilgrim Routes’ at the top of this page, or follow the links you will find below.
At each of those pages you will also find essential information: public transport, where to eat and stay, and where to find more information about each of the pilgrim points featured in the book.
How to download the maps
For each route, you will find maps that you can download, and follow on your phone. You will need an appropriate app on your phone to do that.
Each map is presented in two formats. There is a Plotaroute embed, and a link to the Ordnance Survey mapping app. I use the Ordnance Survey app and, if you have that on your phone as your chosen map-reading app, when you click to download a route, it will open in that app.
Alternatively, you can download the Plotaroute map and open it in your preferred map reading app. In the pages that follow, you will find detailed instructions on this beneath each of the route maps.

The maps are of recently researched and walked routes. They indicate suggested walking distances each day. If you prefer to walk at a different pace, the information on accommodation, food and drink venues on each of the Route pages will help you plan.
Always double-check local conditions on the ground before setting out. Much of Norfolk is low-lying, and routes may become flooded and dangerous to walk.
